The hospital associations worked closely with state and federal leaders to obtain waivers of hospital licensing and certification requirements, advocate for limited survey activity, and clarify constantly changing government requirements and processes for hospitals, including waiver requests to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and a request for state support of access to skilled-nursing facility care.
